yeyyy!

Riding a motorbike, witnessing how those rice fields in the north of Thailand produce the most beautiful green and talking with Meis when I realized it!

It was a kid’s dream for me to write, but it was an ocean of doubts and, of course, a questionable quality what took away my will. Many years later, I find myself writing about my first big solo trip and loving it! Where does this post come from you might wonder...? From talking with other people, asking things like: what are your dreams? or What are the dreams of this kid you still carry inside? Once you get your answer and you get to know better the other person, here comes the boomerang: and yours?

Oh yeah, that’s easy, to have superpowers and be able to fly! Well, while this is true, it is not what this question aims at. It turned out that I would have loved to write as I just mentioned. However, I don’t care that much about the quality but about channeling my feelings into words here, so the people I love can know about me and when I finish my trip I will click on download as PDF and keep it as my memories!

So thanks Meis! Thanks for bringing it back to my mind and helping me to understand! I also learned that it is okaaay, that we all have doubts, some express them more than others, but at the end of the day, we are all similar.

I like to think that we, our personality, is a chain in the end and every link corresponds to a person who took part in our life. In science, people often makes reference to the metaphor of dwarfs: standing on the shoulders of giants, even Stephen Hawking named a book after it. I never thought about it regarding live in general, but I think it really applies, every person that influenced your life in a meaningful way is one of those links in the chain, one of those giants in which we end up standing on so we are less doubtful and more experienced.

I will miss you! I hope you the best for you trip in Myanmar giant! see you soon 👌🏼

Diego!
